TAP Air Portugal has started the new year by announcing a new operation between London City Airport and Porto, in addition to its service already available from London Gatwick.
Launching on March 25th, the route will operate six flights a week.
The reinforced offering from London City Airport follows TAP’s launch of the London City Airport to Lisbon route in October 2017, and showcases its commitment to working with the Airport, conveniently located in the city’s financial centre.
The six flights a week will leave London at 14:50 (TP353), arriving in Porto at 17:10.
The service between Porto to London will leave Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport at 12:05 (TP354), arriving in London at 14:20.
With these flights included, TAP is introducing a total of 41 new services per week in 2018, with a focus on further connections from Porto to cities including London, Barcelona and Milan.
In addition, TAP is launching a new daily service from Porto to Ponta Delgada, on São Miguel Island, the capital of the Azores.
From June, TAP is also boosting its long-haul operation with four more flights each week to São Paulo and one more to Brasilia and Belo Horizonte in Brazil, and to Toronto in Canada, all accessible to UK travellers via TAP’s hub in Lisbon.
The reinforcements of TAP’s network for 2018 highlight the airline’s ongoing strategic focus on the UK market, and its commitment to offering travellers an abundance of choice, whether Portugal is their stop of choice or if they are maximising TAP’s extensive network to travel further afield.
