Turkish Airlines has signed off on a successful 2017 after reporting a 9.3 per cent increase in passenger numbers, compared to 2016.
In total, the airline carried 68.6 million passengers during 2017.
Compared to the previous year, the load factor reached 79.1 per cent, increasing by 4.7 points.
The flag carrier also reached the highest load factor in the airline’s history in December with 79.5 per cent.
Established in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines today has a fleet of 331 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 300 worldwide destinations as 251 international and 49 domestic, in 120 countries.
