Pentahotels has announced the appointment of Eugène Staal as president of the company.
He will take up the role with the neighbourhood lifestyle hotel group next month.
Based in Frankfurt am Main in Germany, Staal will be overseeing the global operations and developments of the brand.
Prior to joining pentahotels, Staal founded YawnWorld, a stylish and innovative apartment rental concept representing the lifestyle and demands of today’s global citizens.
He also founded MisterSteel, a consultancy delivering trendsetting and commercially successful concepts, as well as strategic technical services and branding support to hospitality clients.
Staal joins the pentahotels brand as it prepares itself for substantial growth and expansion over the next few years.
Pentahotels’ second property in Hong Kong – pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun – recently opened its doors.
The group has also finalised definitive agreements with Capital Group, one of Russia’s most respected property developers, to open pentahotels’ first Russia hotel in Moscow – pentahotel Moscow, Arbat – in time for the 2018 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the city.
It has also announced a property in the centre of Bangkok, and has many other developments in the pipeline.
