Hurtigruten has announced a restructuring of its UK and EMEA senior team following the departure of managing director Magnus Zetterberg.
Following the departure, the restructure will see the creation of two new roles – a UK general manager and a newly-created role to lead the updated sales area of Europe, into which the UK, Nordics and EMEA will report.
Anthony Daniels, currently the head of sales UK & Ireland at Hurtigruten, has been promoted to incorporate UK general manager to his existing role, and will lead the London office and UK operations.
With 25 years’ experience in the cruise and luxury market, he joined Hurtigruten in 2015 and in that time has built the sales team outperforming targets and establishing wider recognition for Hurtigruten in the UK and Ireland.
Daniels, along with the head of sales from each European market, will report into the new sales area which will be led by vice president, sales, Europe, Heiko Jensen.
Heiko has over 20 years’ experience in the cruise sales industry and joined Hurtigruten in 2013.
Asta Lassesen, chief operating officer, Hurtigruten, said: “We are delighted to appoint Anthony and Heiko to these new roles that we have created.
“We are confident they will both continue to deliver great results for Hurtigruten especially in the lead up to the launch of our first hybrid ship, the MS Roald Amundsen.
“We also want to take the time to say thank you to Magnus for his great work and dedication to making Hurtigruten a success in the UK and EMEA.
“We wish him all the best for his next adventure.”
The new roles will be effective from today.
