WTM 2018: Europcar highlights new approach to mobility at Excel | News


Europcar Mobility Group is at World Travel Market 2018 to showcase its fully joined up approach to mobility. 

With a focus on giving international travel industry professionals the opportunity to find out more about the benefits Europcar is bringing to travellers the stand will feature each of the brands that now make up the its offering.

The group’s growth strategy has been specifically focused on developing mobility solutions to suit all types of mobility needs, both through organic research and development and acquisition, including Ubeeqo, a European start-up specialised in car-sharing, Brunel, a provider of chauffeur services and Scooty, a scooter-sharing start-up.

It has also taken minority investments in Snappcar, the second largest international peer-to-peer car-sharing player in Europe, and Wanderio, a multimodal search and comparison platform.

Reflecting the evolution of its offering, in May 2018 the group was renamed Europcar Mobility Group and it is under this umbrella that all the brands and services now operate.

Gary Smith, managing director of Europcar Mobility Group in the UK, commented: “Europcar Mobility Group is evolving to meet the rapidly changing needs and expectations of our customers, because the traditional model of owning a car isn’t necessarily the right fit for everyone anymore.

“At this year’s World Travel Market we are therefore looking forward to demonstrating how the Europcar Mobility Group brands in car rental as well as in news mobility services, are harnessing technology and digital innovation to deliver smart and cost-effective solutions, designed to make people’s lives easier.

“Visitors to the stand will be able to see how we aim to better answer all customers’ needs whatever the budget and the usage, as part of our enhanced mobility offering.”
