Fusion Resort Phu Quoc, with 97 pool villas stretched along a pristine stretch of tropical coastline, has opened in one of Vietnam’s top up-and-coming destinations.
Located in the private bay of Vung Bau, 40 minutes from Phu Quoc’s international airport, the secluded spot borders both the ocean and the verdant banks of a neighbouring river.
The lush 20-hectare (50-acres) plot consists of a range of contemporary private pool villas, plus a sprawling 11,210 square-meter (120,663 square-feet) spa, two communal swimming pools (in addition to all villas having their own pool), indoor and outdoor yoga areas, and a state-of-the-art health club.
Onsite there are two innovative restaurants, a pool and beach-side bar and diner, complimentary games and activities, an outdoor cinema, and a supervised kids club.
The cornerstone of all Fusion Resort properties is the all-inclusive spa concept with daily treatments and wellness activities available at no extra cost.
The spacious spa, with 20 double treatment rooms, is set around a pepper garden of 88 trees and the signature therapies are inspired by the popular spice.
The Natural Living Pepper massage uses a warming custom-blended black pepper oil.
The Freshly Ground Pepper Scrub uses healing all-natural ingredients ranging from pepper to turmeric for a full body polish.
The overall design of Fusion Resort Phu Quoc embraces the natural environment, with natural textures, earthy tones, pops of colour, and touches of coastal living spread throughout.
Dense bamboo groves and the soothing aromas of lemongrass line the pathways, with approximately 1,200 coconut palms swaying overhead.
Each of the 97 villas have a private swimming pool within a sheltered tropical garden.
Accommodation options range in size from a spacious 126 square-meters (1,356 square-feet) for the One Bedroom Pool Villas to a palatial 687 square-meters (7,395 square-feet) for the Grand Beach Villa, which has five bedrooms, and indoor and outdoor dining and living areas.
Fusion Resort Phu Quoc, which opened in June 2017, joins the Fusion portfolio of six resorts and hotels spread throughout Vietnam.
The latest destination, on Vietnam’s largest island, is easily accessible from Ho Chi Minh City with over a dozen flights per day making the one hour trip.
