CTO Climate Smart Sustainable Tourism Forum reschedule for December | News

St Kitts will welcome the Caribbean Tourism Organisation next month

The Caribbean Tourism Organisation has announced new dates for the Climate Smart Sustainable Tourism Forum at the Ocean Terrace Inn in St. Kitts.

Originally scheduled in September, the forum was put on hold due to the category five hurricanes that impacted a handful of member countries.

It will now take place on December 12th-13th.

Themed “Good for Us, Better for All,” the Climate Smart Sustainable Tourism Forum will bring together local, regional, and international representatives from public and private sector tourism entities, as well as development agencies that offer programming in sustainable tourism.

In partnership with member country, St. Kitts, the forum is designed to enhance attendees’ working knowledge of disaster risk reduction and sustainability models, strengthen resiliency through adaption and mitigation strategies, discover solutions that help businesses and destinations thrive, network with sustainability experts and experience specific tools that aid in recovery efforts.

Organising partners include the CTO, the St. Kitts ministry of tourism, the St. Kitts sustainable destination council, and Sustainable Travel International.
