The five-star Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Estepona, Marbella, has announced that the redesign of their lobby and culinary venues will begin at the end of this year, as part of an extensive investment in the hotel.
The management team and architects, Akos Bara, have ambitious plans to create modern, elegant and opulent public spaces, embracing the very essence of Kempinski Hotels.
The redesign will run from December 2017 to March 2018, and for the comfort of guests, the hotel and spa will be closed from the December 11th until the middle of February next year.
Closing during this period is necessary due to the impact on public spaces.
“Guest experience is paramount to us and we do not wish to dilute it, therefore during the most invasive part of the redesign we have decided to close our doors,” explained general manager, Carla Lopes.
“I’m extremely proud to lead this project and we will return to the market in a stronger position as we unveil a contemporary, luxurious environment that also celebrates our hotel’s heritage and beachfront location.”
With a completion date set for March 2018, the hotel will be fully operational for the Easter season.
The reimagined culinary venues will boast in vogue dining concepts and the resplendent new lobby will be an elegant space, with every detail anticipated for, positioning the hotel as a leading player within the Costa del Sol when welcoming guests from all over the world.
The redesign is part of a wider investment and forms part of the company’s long-term vision for the resort.
The Kempinski Hotel Bahia opened in 1999 and the award-winning hotel was designed by one of Andalucía’s most renowned architects, Melvin Villarroel.
The hotel has 128 spacious rooms and 17 luxury suites, a spa offering a soothing luxury experience and several spacious conference rooms.
The frontline beach location is a calming oasis, located between Marbella and Gibraltar, and on the doorstep of the authentic unspoiled town of Estepona, making it a popular choice for tourists from all over the world.
