Byron to join Royal Caribbean as insights director | News

Stuart Byron will join Royal Caribbean in the new year as insights director, tasked with turning data into actionable insight to inform the business as a whole.

“Stuart’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to always staying ahead of the curve and I have no doubt that where we lead, our competitors will follow,” said Royal Caribbean associate vice president and managing director, UK & Ireland, Ben Bouldin.

“Stuart has unparalleled experience in developing insight-based commercial solutions and translating marketing campaigns to sales results.

“I am looking forward to seeing him apply his knowledge to the travel sector.”

Byron joins from global insight leader, IRI, where he worked as commercial and strategy director on some of the world’s largest global fast-moving consumer goods brands such as Mondelez, Mars and Coca-Cola.

Here, he led a team to turn data into insight, enabling clients to better understand their consumers and market place, and highlighting how to unlock new growth opportunities.

Byron has also held a number of senior domestic and international positions with Johnson & Johnson and PepsiCo, creating category visions, providing insight leadership for global client engagements and implementing new go-to-market strategies.

“I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into this new role,” said Byron.

“Having never worked in the travel industry, I am excited to take key learnings from the fast-moving consumer goods world and apply them to Royal Caribbean to provide new ways of leveraging insights for the benefit of the business as a whole.”

Byron will join the business on January 2nd.
