Furthering its commitment to its valued trade partners, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has expanded its agency sales team, appointing Lucy Hone to the newly created role of sales manager south.
Starting on January 2nd, Hone will be responsible for supporting the brand’s existing trade partners in the southern half of the UK, as well as developing new relationships for
Uniworld and its river cruise brand for young professionals, U by Uniworld, which launches on April 14th.
Reporting into Dave Chidley, national sales manager, she joins James Howlett, sales manager north, and Theona Nechita, sales development executive, under the direction of Uniworld UK managing director, Chris Townson.
She has also held sales positions with Hurtigruten and NCL Cruise Lines.
“River cruising is my passion and I am so excited to be joining Uniworld and look forward to being part of such a fantastic sales team,” said Hone.
“Uniworld is an industry-leading luxury brand, brimming full of sales opportunities for the trade.
“I can’t wait to meet our existing sales partners over the next few weeks, and to develop new contacts for U by Uniworld.”
Hone brings a wealth of river cruise experience to her new role, having previously worked as regional sales manager south for Scenic & Emerald Waterways.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lucy to the Uniworld team,” said Townson.
“She has a proven track record and excellent agent relationships, making her perfectly positioned to help the trade to maximise their Uniworld and U by Uniworld business opportunities.
“It’s an exciting time, with the launch of Uniworld’s fifth Super Ship, the SS Beatrice, and the kick off of U by Uniworld, the industry’s first river cruise brand entirely curated for a 21-45 year old audience, both happening in spring 2018.
“Lucy, along with the rest of our outstanding sales team, will be working closely with our travel agent partners to ensure they have all of the tools and information to drive sales and enjoy a hugely profitable 2018.”
