Finnair has today announced increased frequencies across its network of destinations in Asia for the winter 2018.

The Edinburgh to Helsinki route will also be expanded to a year-round service from March 25th, 2018.

Finnair’s route from Helsinki to Osaka will now become daily during the winter season with two additional frequencies.

Two additional frequencies will be added to the Hong Kong route, for a total of 12 weekly frequencies.

Finnair’s route to Delhi will also become a daily service during the winter season and a fourth weekly frequency will also be added to the Phuket route as of December 10th.

Finnair will continue the non-stop flights to Ivalo and Kittilä in Finnish Lapland from London Gatwick following the success of the inaugural Winter 2017 season for the routes.

The Helsinki to Rovaniemi route will also be serviced by an additional daily flight on weekdays.

Continuing with its growth strategy, Finnair will be receiving its twelfth A350 aircraft in 2018 and will be adding several frequencies to its popular long-haul destinations.

Passengers travelling from Scotland will be able to take advantage of the new year-round service to the Finnish capital city.

The route, serviced by a 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft in a dual business and economy class configuration will operate three times a week, increasing to five weekly flights during the summer.

“Finnair is currently in the largest expansion phase of its history and we are pressing forward by growing our capacity to popular destinations in Asia and Europe,” said Juha Järvinen, chief commercial officer, Finnair.

“These added frequencies will offer our customers more choice and flexibility for their winter plans.”
