bmi has appointed Antony Price as director marketing & customer with immediate effect.

Based at the airline’s East Midlands hub and reporting to airline chief commercial officer Jochen Schnadt, Price will drive strategic efforts to further enhance bmi’s brand awareness across the carrier’s pan-European network, unlock new customer markets, and further develop the product proposition in line with bmi’s philosophy to deliver a seamless and convenient product to its customers.

Price brings over 20 years’ aviation experience and has held senior leadership positions with Air New Zealand and British Airways, most recently being general manager sales for the former, based in Auckland.

Price has a strong track record of leading large and successful commercial and digital teams in the UK, USA and New Zealand.

bmi, which operates a 20-strong all-jet fleet linking UK hubs including Bristol and Aberdeen with European commercial and cultural centres, has enjoyed significant growth over the past year, enhancing its network and boosting customer numbers.

Schnadt said: “This year, we’re amplifying our investment in digital research and marketing to ensure we deliver an even more seamless customer experience.

“Antony will drive all customer-facing functions within bmi covering marketing, distribution and customer engagement and care, in addition to taking the lead with mobile and e-commerce.

“His expertise drawn from over 20 years with some of the world’s leading global carriers compliments our specialist senior team.”
