Kohler Waters Spa at the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews has reopened following an extensive multi-million refurbishment.
Opening up to the public for the first time as the only Kohler Waters Spa outside the USA, it offers a luxury spa retreat in the heart of Scotland with a focus on hydrotherapy and organic treatments.
The new Kohler Waters Spa provides a spa in the true meaning of the word, offering ‘Salus Per Aquum’ – ‘health through water’.
Guests can indulge in the healing effects of water, from a hydrotherapy pool providing therapeutic bathing, a cold plunge pool and a refreshing ice fountain to experience showers featuring Kohler Real Rain.
The renovation has seen the addition of a new 20 metre lap pool as part of the large health and fitness centre, as well as a gym area with cardio and resistance stations, a functional fitness space and a group exercise studio, with instructor led classes along with innovative virtual training.
There is also a steam room providing deep muscular relaxation and detoxification, a Finnish sauna and a rooftop garden with hot tub.
Designed by Sedley Place, the extension and refurbishment of the existing space has created a total of 25,000 sq. ft., featuring 13 treatment rooms including two couple’s rooms, as well as two wet treatment rooms offering Kohler bathing experiences.
Expertly crafted treatments by Margaret Dabbs, the woman whom A-listers and royals call upon to get their feet red-carpet-ready, are on offer for manicures and pedicures.
Guests can also expect highly customised treatments by the spa’s therapists, as part of the ‘custom time’ menu, where they will receive a personalised treatment programme.
Bordering the renowned 17th Road Hole of the Old Course, the Old Course Hotel is situated in a prime location overlooking the famous links courses, the West Sands Beach and the beautiful Scottish coastline.
