Philippine Airlines is exhibiting at the Business Travel Show for the first time in 2018 having launched a brand-new aircraft – the B777-300ER – on its daily route into London at the end of 2017.
PAL operates an extensive route network of 44 international destinations spanning across Asia, Australia, Oceania, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
Non-stop flights from London Heathrow Terminal 3 to Manila, on the new B777-300ER aircraft, which takes 14 hours, can also connect passengers to 30 domestic destinations in the Philippines and beyond – with 56 per cent of PAL passengers from the UK using the Philippines as a hub to fly onto other destinations.
Philippine Airlines already works with a number of UK corporate partners and travel management companies who book business travel passengers both from the UK to Asia as well as corporate travellers who fly the PAL network within Asia.
PAL corporate partners all enjoy access to fully flexible discounted rates for their business customers.
January 2018 has already proved to be a successful month with bookings up 87 per cent year on year compared to the same month last year.
One of the busiest corporate routes for Philippine Airlines is between Manila and Hong Kong followed by Manila to Jakarta.
Other popular destinations with same day connections in Manila include Sydney (four days a week) and Melbourne.
In 2018 Philippine Airlines will also improve connection times to Singapore.
Speaking to Breaking Travel News at the Business Travel Show, David Cochrane, country manager, UK & Ireland, Philippine Airlines, said: “We are here today as we are seeing a lot of movement in the corporate market.
“Companies are looking for what is called the most logical airfare on the day, so our pricing into the Philippines is very good, along with our offering into Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, and Tokyo.
“We are also very proud of the seat itself as well as the service as we offer.”
Cochrane added: “Our crew, Filipinos by nature are very warm, service orientated, people, so when you get on board, you feel that from the staff.
“We are offering a very good on-board service.”
