Thomas Cook launches zero deposit holiday scheme | News

Thomas Cook has announced the launch of a new £0 deposit buy now pay later payment plan, helping holidaymakers to budget and spread the cost of their next trip away.

Launching on March 1st, the new payment plan means customers will be able to book a holiday with no upfront payment and then pay the balance off in monthly direct debit instalments.

The new service which is available online and in store is the first of its kind to be offered by a tour operator and follows on from the popular direct debit payment plan which Thomas Cook introduced in January 2016.

Customers looking to take advantage of this new offer will be able to choose from a wide range of holidays in destinations across the world, including getaways to Thomas
Cook’s own-brand hotels – Casa Cook, Sunprime, Sunwing, Sentido, SunConnect, and smartline.

The announcement coincides with the launch of Thomas Cook’s summer 2019 holiday programme which goes on sale on Thursday.

Buy now, pay later is available on holidays booked 14 weeks or more before departure and travelling between November 1st and October 31st next year.

Chris Mottershead, managing director, Thomas Cook UK, said: “We’re always looking for ways to make it easier for our customers to enjoy their well-earned break away.

“Our new zero deposit buy now pay later offer means that they can get the holiday in the diary now, and then spread the cost over the coming months.

“Our existing direct debit payment plan is very popular with families and we expect this new offer to appeal to them too.”
