Martina Hingis began frequenting the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz during her time playing competitive tennis, and now, as an official ambassador, the former champion will be spending even more time at the property.

During her youth, Hingis trained with her mother, Melanie Molitor, at the Bad Ragaz Tennis Centre and also explored the Heidiland holiday region on horseback before stepping onto the international stage at age 17.

During her illustrious career, the “ever-smiling Swiss Miss” found time in between winning her 25 Grand Slam titles to frequently return to the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz.

That is why she finds it easy to slip into her new role as an ambassador of the resort.

“I can always find my inner balance here straight away,” Hingis explained.

“It’s because the professional yet welcoming team makes me feel truly at home every time I visit.”

After tennis, horse riding has always been Hingis’ second greatest passion.

A passion that she now wants to pursue in the Heidiland holiday region of eastern Switzerland.

She is planning to construct eight horse stalls on her property in Bad Ragaz.

Together with her partner, sports physician Harry Leemann, she is shifting her focus towards sports, health and medicine.

The expertise that the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz has to offer in all of these areas is extremely important to her.
