Launching in June, located above Chicago’s iconic Michigan Avenue, Z Bar presents beautiful city views, an array of globally-inspired cocktails, boldly-flavoured food and the latest tunes from around the world.
After being transported to The Peninsula Chicago’s rooftop terrace via dedicated elevators cloaked in lush forest artistry, an intriguing world of new tastes, sounds and sights awaits.
“We are thrilled to open the doors of Z Bar this June,” said Maria Zec, The Peninsula Hotels’ first female general manager, and the person after which Z Bar is named.
“We’ve collaborated to create a vibrant and immersive atmosphere that is inspired by the world’s cultural and culinary riches.
“It’s a space designed to delight and stimulate the senses through exciting and unusual experiences that both visiting guests and Chicago residents can enjoy. A must-see while in the city.”
Zec is not the only personality bringing a personal touch to Z Bar.
The beverage menu is designed by director of cocktails and culture, Vlad Novikov, a mixologist with a background in chemistry and classics.
Novikov’s concepts feature a range of drinks brought to life through striking presentations and a focus on freshness.
Some cocktails are made tableside from a roving cart, while others incorporate luxe touches such as gold leaf, caviar, tonics and spices sourced from around the globe.
A smartly curated beer and extensive wine list round out the offerings.
As Z Bar’s opening month of June 2018 draws closer, more information will be revealed about the cocktails, cuisine, music, programming and personalities that visitors can look forward to experiencing.
