Princess Cruises has seen a major increase in UK guests booking Japan cruises.
Next year’s bookings are up by over 75 per cent on the same time last year, which represents one of the highest periods of growth since Princess started sailing to Asia in 1987.
Overall, Princess has seen a near 40 per cent year-on-year increase in UK guest bookings for sailings to Asia.
This means it is now the second most popular destination for UK guests.
For Japan cruises, guests can sail solely around the region or combine it with other countries including South Korea, Taiwan, Russia and Vietnam.
Next year’s Japan cruise programme includes ‘more ashore’ night calls in 12 ports, allowing guests to enjoy extra time on shore with departures from 21:00 or later.

“Week-long voyages are popular as they allow guests to combine a cruise with a land holiday, while longer cruises are a great option for guests who are keen to explore.
“Guests sailing to Japan will travel on Diamond Princess, a ship tailored to offer Japanese experiences such as dining in a sushi restaurant or relaxing in the traditional Izumi bath.
“This allows them to really immerse themselves in the culture both on shore and on-board.”
