Latvia’s first five-star luxury Kempinski Hotel has inaugurated Stage 22, a stylish rooftop spot in the heart of the pulsating capital.
Covering a big part of the hotel’s top floor, the new venue offers a breath-taking panoramic view of the impressive local landmarks, such as the famous National Opera House, the freedom monument and Bastejkalna Park, and follows an informal lounge-style concept for hotel guests and local residents alike.
The name of the new in-place derives from the number 22 of the building and its connection just opposite the street with the National Opera House – guests should feel as if they were on a stage.
The number 22 is also reflected in the drinks menu, consisting of 22 cocktails – 11 signatures and 11 classics.
Classical cocktails include Hanky Panky or Hemingway Specials, while signature cocktails are individual creations like Mistaken or Notas Sour by the very experienced mixologist team.
When it comes to culinary delights, the new Stage 22 specialises in shared seafood towers and the finest Nordic cuisine with local ingredients.
Lobster, langoustines, oysters, clams and grilled octopus, but also sturgeon caviar or smoked duck breast salad can be found on the appealing menu.
Regular live music groups or DJs are entertaining the guests, while opera guests may take advantage of special offers before or after they enjoy a performance at the National Opera House.
With its down-to-earth attitude, magnificent all-year-long functioning terrace and outstanding service, Stage 22 is set to promptly become the new hotspot in Riga city.
