VisitGuernsey has launched a new highly visual tourism website aimed at captivating the digital traveller to visit Guernsey and her neighbouring islands of Herm, Sark and Alderney.
Showcasing the spectacular landscapes of Guernsey with striking photography and video footage, the new website, which is available in English, with French, German and Dutch sections, has been developed to inspire tourists looking for a beautiful close-to-home island experience.
The website has been enhanced with a new mobile first design, including new filters and browser-friendly navigational tools.
The platform has been further advanced with a new modular landing page, enabling browsers to access all aspects of the website from the homepage.
There is a new Magazine section (formerly the ‘Blog’) allowing additional linked content and calls to action, running cohesively with traditional blog content.
Other new features on the website include a postcode-activated nearest departure point map.
Browsers can also access self-guided walking and cycling routes with interactive maps making it easier to plan a walk or ride.
There is also a fully functional integrated bus timetable to aid journey planning.
