Visit West Hollywood has appointed London-based full service communications and marketing agency, Black Diamond, to manage its public relations and travel trade representation in the UK & Ireland.
The combined contract of activity will commence on in January.
West Hollywood is a walkable, three square kilometre city located in the heart of Los Angeles, adjacent to Beverly Hills.
It is home to the infamous Sunset Strip, the inclusive LGBTQ+ neighbourhood along Santa Monica Boulevard, and a renowned Design District.
Visit West Hollywood previously worked with Black Diamond on their public relations activities from 2010 until 2016.
Utilising a fully integrated consumer PR and travel trade approach in the UK & Ireland, Black Diamond will position West Hollywood as a premier travel destination in the US.
The company will seek to highlight the city’s aspirational and sought-after hotel offerings, popular culinary and vibrant nightlife experiences, prime location within the Los Angeles area, trendsetting and celebrity culture, while recognising its music and film roots, as well as its prominent LGBTQ+ heritage and community.
Black Diamond brings to the account a wealth of destination positioning experience having retained a number of travel and tourism clients over its 25 years in business.
The account will be overseen by trade director and co-owner, Jim Odoire, and head of travel PR, Sarah Barnett.
