Eurowings has begun operating six weekly flights from Düsseldorf to New York’s Newark Liberty International Airport.
The service is in addition to its existing connections to and from JFK.
Eurowings assumed responsibility of the connection, which had previously been offered by Lufthansa.
The flights to Düsseldorf, operated by an Airbus A330, take off from New York’s Newark Liberty International Airport every day, except Tuesday, with the flight number EW 1113 at 16:50, arriving in Düsseldorf the next day at 06:05.
The return flight departs Düsseldorf at 11:45 as flight number EW 1112 and lands in Newark at 14:50.
Eurowings customers arriving in Düsseldorf also benefit from a codeshare agreement with Lufthansa that makes fast and convenient transfers possible to destinations in the network of the parent company.
Furthermore, Eurowings also offers codeshares with United Airlines, thus expanding its reach even more.
“We are delighted to be able to further expand our long-haul offer from New York’s Newark airport with six flights per week to Düsseldorf, in addition to our JFK route.
“Our customers traveling to Germany’s most populous region, with over 18 million inhabitants, will benefit from an even more attractive range of direct connections in Europe and worldwide,” said Christophe Allard, Eurowings group business development manager for the Americas.
