Qatar Tourism Authority is unveiling its new campaign, ‘Qatar Welcomes the World’ at World Travel Market.
The prestigious trade show WTM, in London, is the ideal platform for QTA to showcase its new messaging to the global travel community.
‘Qatar Welcomes the World’ is a result of the recent visa announcements which have qualified Qatar to become the most open country in the region.
The campaign, featuring on-stand elements, collateral, a fleet of branded taxis and an exciting competition, highlights QTA’s focus on the UK market and its ongoing message of welcoming the world to easily discover Qatar’s myriad of activities, cultural heritage and natural wonders.
In August 2017, Qatar ministry of interior, Qatar Tourism Authority and Qatar Airways announced that nationals of 80 countries are now eligible for visa-free entry, without requiring any prior applications or fee payments.
Eligible travellers no longer need to apply or pay for a visa; instead, a multi-entry waiver will be issued free-of-charge at the port of entry, upon presentation of a valid passport with a minimum validity of six months and a confirmed onward or return ticket.
A recent addition further improving visitor access is the Electronic Travel Authorisation System, available to visitors of all nationalities who hold valid residence permits or visas from the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Schengen countries, or the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The QTA stand at WTM will feature an eye-catching display of flags demonstrating the 80 countries which are now eligible for visa-free entry.
Visitors are also invited to drop by the stand to collect ‘Your Passport to Qatar’, collateral clearly explaining all visa types and how to facilitate them, making a visit to Qatar a smooth and enjoyable process, whether the country is the final destination or a short break for a stopover.
QTA is proud to be launching branded taxis which will be used around the ExCel Centre and in London during WTM and into 2018, encouraging those attending the show and those living in and visiting London to discover more about Qatar and its attractions.
