International Hospitality Enterprises has appointed Andrea Moczo as spa director for the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel.
Located on prime beachfront in the chic Condado District of San Juan, the hotel reopened in 2014 following a $200 million renovation to unveil a spa sanctuary boasting Puerto Rico’s first and only Hammam.
In this role, Moczo is tasked with maintaining the Spa at Condado Vanderbilt’s reputation as the premier wellness destination in all of San Juan, overseeing all guest relations in addition to managing daily operations of the award-winning facility, including the management of staff, payroll, scheduling, and purchasing.
With over 25 years of experience in the spa and wellness industries, Moczo most recently served as Spa Director of the Yhi Spa at the Gran Melia Puerto Rico.
Previously, she worked as spa director at several other Puerto Rican properties including the Four Seasons Resort Nevis and the Caribe Hilton Hotel, and was assistant spa director at the Ritz-Carlton San Juan.
Moczo completed her undergraduate degree at Lehman College in New York and is fluent in Spanish and English.
“Connecting with our patrons is of the utmost importance to me,” said Moczo.
“The front desk is where I am most comfortable and rewarded, as I get to witness first-hand the transformation in our guests after they experience our first-class facilities, services, and staff.”
“Our Spa has always been a defining characteristic of the luxury experience we offer our guests,” said Ben Tutt, general manager, Condado Vanderbilt.
“Andrea brings decades of wellness expertise to this position, and we’re excited to put her talent to work at The Vanderbilt and with the IHE family.”
